I believe when you say vademecum you’re referring to a “drug formulary”, i.e., a list of approved/available medications (right?), of which each country has its own.

In the US, the most utilized list of approved medications is the PDR (Physicians' Desk Reference). It updates all medications of the USP (United States Pharmacopeia) yearly. The PDR is a book that increases its thickness year after year, but luckily now also comes in CD-ROM. As for Internet resources, the PDR contents can be accessed by US medical professionals at PDR.net, in: http://www.pdr.net/pdrnet/librarian.
