Hi everyone,

I am keen to add to my arsenal of translation tools and resources, and to this end I have considered the use of bilingual web crawlers. I understand these to be search engines that identify and display parallel sentences which have been translated between two (or more) languages. I occassionally use Linguee if I wish to seek validation for something I have just translated (I am aware of the potential pitfalls of this and generally only trust official EU or other respect... I occassionally use Linguee if I wish to seek validation for something I have just translated (I am aware of the potential pitfalls of this and generally only trust official EU or other respected publications).

Basically, I am interested to find out whether any of you know of other similar tools/websites?

Web crawlers cannot be used by PC users. Linguee is just a search engine that uses a special index.

yes indeed, these are search engines not crawlers.. I occasionally use Linguee, apart from that I know of a German-Spanish one http://de.glosbe.com/de/es/ and another multilingual search interface I did not use at all up to now, s... See more

yes indeed, these are search engines not crawlers.. I occasionally use Linguee, apart from that I know of a German-Spanish one http://de.glosbe.com/de/es/ and another multilingual search interface I did not use at all up to now, so I don’t know how good it is: http://www.multilingual.ch/search_interfaces.htm.
I am sure there must be plenty more, me too I would like to hear about other good sites of this type.
