Apparently a lot of people have stopped using desktops when they purchase laptops. That's good news, I am not alone then. Thanks a lot everybody!

Exactly the same situation here Pawel. I only use the laptop when I have no choice but to work away from home. The keyboard just slows me down and the garden or any other outdoor location provides too many distractions.

In any case, this is simply a matter of personal preference. It's just not to objectively say that one is better than the other.
