Evening all,
I wonder if somebody can give me some advice on how best to achieve what I need.

My attempt at a solution:convert the Word doc to .pdf. Success, BUT...the file becomes humongous and took nearly 4 hours to print!
I now need to reprint the doc - is there a way of having ALL the runic script in the Word doc printed out correctly without having to revert to converting the file to .pdf?

Using Acrobat, you can also save your PDF as a JPG file. That's a quick and dirty solution. I don't know what the printout will look like, but it should work.

p.s. can't think of a good reason why your printer is rejecting the fancy font. Maybe try reinstalling or updating the printer drivers. ▲ Collapse | | | CELC Inc Local time: 04:59 Japanese to English + ... Problem with printer-side fonts? | Sep 24, 2004 |
If you're experiencing trouble printing a given font, it may be that your printer only prints with its own installed fonts, regardless of the computer/file designation.
The only practical solution to this is to outline the text (if you're using something like Illustrator) or convert the files to graphics (as suggested above) so that the text is not recognized as a font.

I can't be certain that this is relevant in your case, but dealing with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean fonts all day as I do, we experience this problem quite frequently. ▲ Collapse | | | Bilingualduo Italy Local time: 20:59 English to Italian + ... TOPIC STARTER Thanks to all | Oct 17, 2004 |
Thanks to all who answered with suggestions - and I apologies for this reply being so late!
I am not sure, exacly *what* worked, but something did and the problem has been resolved. All I know for certain is that the printer fonts were not at the root of the problem. Another one solved!
Thank you
