what is the expansion of text translated from English into Croatian, in %, please?

In my experience, Croatian expands about 25% into English. English should therefore contract into Croatian, though - mathematically speaking - the percentage of contraction would probably be a little lower, as the denominator is larger in that case.

Ex.:
1 Croatian word > 1.25 English words = 25% expansion
1.25 English words > 1 Croatian word = 20% contraction

Actual factors may vary by the type of text and your writing style, of course.
