Sometimes you have verbs in the source or target language that need to be split. Auto-assembling doesn't know where to put the pieces in the segment. Term patterns to the rescue!
Here are two pairs of segments:
In the first segment, the target needs the part 'los' positioned correctly.
In the second segment, the source has a part 'aus' that shouldn't be placed in the target.
Steps to make term patterns work:
First, create the term patterns, inserting wildcards where needed:
Second, make sure that the content of the placeholders exists in a glossary:
Once you have done this, all you have to do is press F1 to have your term patterns assembled correctly.
Other candidates: Tighten the bolt firmly. Ziehen Sie die Schraube fest an.
Schließen Sie das Gerät an. Connect the device.
Sperren Sie das Zimmer ab. Lock the room.
?Wählen Sie {1} aus ?Select {1} ?Beachten Sie {1} ?Neem {1} in acht
When do you use term patters in CafeTran Espresso? Whenever auto-assembling doesn't place split verb parts in the right position. Term patterns allow you to override the word order created by the auto-assembling process.
