English to Portuguese: separação de poderes Detailed field: Government / Politics
Source text - English The hallmark of the horizontal separation of powers is that a single power or bundle of powers is allocated competitively or in a manner that promotes competition. By contrast, the hallmark of the vertical separation of powers is that functionally distinct but related powers are unbundled and allocated to different individuals or groups of individuals. When powers are functionally separated between bodies each body has the power to act independently over at least some restricted domain. It is as if each body becomes a specialist in the use of some particular power and wields that power independently.

Bio
I have a law degree and I'm in the middle of my Mastership in Law, my major in both is English Constitutional Law, and for that reason I begun to translate from English into Portuguese. I 'm also pursuing an under graduation in Philosophy, with very special attention to Saxon philosophers, which led me to more translation jobs. Starting there, I have translated the same pair in several other fields such as listed above.
I just begun an undergraduation in Translation (English/Portuguese) in the UFRGS.
I have translated several articles, pamphlets, some parts of books, resumes, abstracts, papers, some advertising work etc.
