Born in England, I spent every extended summer of my childhood through to early adulthood in Corsica, France, where I developed bilingual skills and shadowed my father in both of his commercial businesses (tourism in France and specialist paint manufacturing in England).
The latter part of my childhood was bathed in the signature scent of agriculture and I became actively involved in the farming of livestock. Simultaneously my family ventured past the point of no return into the professional equestrian sector. I have heard enough to be able to write a thesis on dressage, insemination and "confirmation"...

Back to languages; I excelled in this subject area throughout my British - French mixed education and have a keen eye for spotting grammatical and spelling errors. I specialise in commerce, travel and tourism translations, providing true adaptations of texts, respecting the tone and intention of the original piece. I particularly enjoy proof-reading and the more creative translation projects, being of an artistic and curious mind myself (fictional writing, drawing, music).

Up until recently, I owned and ran a holiday business for 8 years in France, regularly catering successfully for both French and English guests and many other nationalities with whom I exchanged in English, and the overall experience has earned me an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of a commercial business, from administration to customer care, advertising to building work and dealing with building professionals.
