Bio
I am Dr Vincent Lien (BA, MA, DPhil, MEd). I am a qualified English teacher. I have nearly 20 years of teaching experience at universities and secondary schools in Taiwan and the UK. I am also an examiner for one of the major examination boards in the UK. I have indepth knowledge of the UK education system. During my teaching career in the UK, the majority of my students have gained entry into universities, including those in the Russell Group. Several of them have secured places at Oxford or Cambridge. In addition to my teaching, I am also an experienced researcher. I completed my Masters in Education from Cambridge, studying teacher professionalism and identity. I am currently pursuing my second PhD at Cambridge, researching the left-behind children of the ethnic minority groups in Yunnan, China.
When I am not teaching or researching, I have spoken at educational conferences such as ResearchEd Cambridge and ResearchEd Swindon in 2014. In 2016, I was honoured to be invited to speak at the Dutch Presidency Open Science Conference in Amsterdam.
Over the years, I have translated both from Engish to Chinese and from Chinese to English, covering scholarly essays, college text books and popular fiction. I am interested in expanding my service to include interpretation, voive over and proofreading. I am looking forward to working with you on your projects. Many thanks.
