Born into
a Telugu family I was schooled in Mumbai as my father was employed in the
Government Telecom sector as an Accounts Officer.

I imbibed
the reading habits from my father, a voracious reader and a passionate linguist
who had a great command of both Telugu and English.

I gained
fluency in English and Hindi in Mumbai. Being an introvert, I always emphasized expressing myself by way of writing.

My Telugu
flourished after marriage on account of my wife who is a great linguist
herself.  She encouraged me to read and
gain fluency in Telugu. She is fond of the Telugu language and expresses her
feelings in poems and stories a hobby which is similar to my writing poems
and stories in English. She has published some of her poems which are available at http://www.manandari.com/pen-name-shaantu/. Besides she has lent poems to her friends who have won prizes at competitions.

During my
accounting career after graduation, I was always sought after to draft correspondence
or translate from Hindi to Telugu and English to Telugu.  I enjoyed doing this and wanted to pursue
this passion. 

Between In 2017 and 2018, I started taking up translation jobs.  Since the clients were satisfied with the
quality of the work, I started freelancing and worked on translation projects.
