Afghanistan’s economy is primarily agriculture-based followed by services and manufacturing; with the mining sector, i.e. copper, iron, precious metals, and gemstones, a potential sector, yet to be legally and massively extracted. Agriculture remains the primary means of livelihood in Afghanistan, generating around 25% of the country’s GDP, while industries i.e. textiles, apparel, carpet, and shoe making are at the nascent stage. Sectors such as granite, beverages, and food products find it difficult to compete with imported goods due to scarcity of skilled labor, limited infrastructure including roads and electricity, lack of certification, and proper packaging and marketing techniques. "

اقتصاد افغانستان اساساً مبتنی بر زراعت بوده و خدمات و تولید به تعقیب آن میباشند. بخش معادن ، به عنوان مثال مس، آهن، فلزات گرانبها و سنگ های قیمتی، یک بخش بالقوهء دیگر است که باید به گونهء قانونی و گسترده استخراج شوند. زراعت با تأمين حدود 25 فیصد از توليد ناخالص داخلي كشور، ابزار اصلي معاش در افغانستان محسوب شده و صنايع منسوجات، پوشاك، فرش و بوت دوزی نيز در مرحله رشد میباشند. بخشهایی مانند گرانیت ، نوشیدنی ها و محصولات غذایی به دلیل کمبود نیروی متخصص کاری در تولید، زیرساخت های محدود از جمله جاده ها و برق ، عدم صدور گواهینامه و بسته بندی مناسب و تکنیک های بازاریابی رقابت با کالاهای وارداتی را دشوار می نمایند."
