Bio
Hi, my name is Furkan Değer, and I'm a seasoned English-to-Turkish Video Game Localization Specialist with 12 years of experience in the gaming industry.
As a passionate gamer myself, I know very well that games resonate best with players when the language barrier is eliminated, and this can only be achieved through a spot-on localization. This isn't easy, though. You need to have every little piece of dialogue, item description, skill name, plot twist, and pun feel natural, immersive, and authentic. It must be invisible - like it was crafted for the player's native language from the start.
But how do you actually do that? Well, that's where I come in.
With specialized education in translation studies and over a decade of experience in localizing video games from English to Turkish, I don't just translate words, but preserve the cultural nuances and the emotional impact of the game by capturing the writer's original vision and bridging the linguistic gap with an outstanding translation.
Localization, however, has many facets, and translation is merely one of them. That is why I also provide editing, proofreading, and LQA testing services to make sure your game meets its Turkish audience with excellent linguistic quality all around.
With 100+ video game localization projects under my belt, including the long-awaited RPG Kenshi 2, my goal is to ensure that gamers in Turkey enjoy games as they are meant to be.
So, if you are looking for someone who can truly make your game resonate with Turkish players through a meticulous, culturally attuned localization backed by a deep understanding of both gaming and linguistics, feel free to contact me here or reach out via email at [email protected]. 👈
