State-certified translator, officially appointed and sworn
After having gained my degree as a state-certified translator, I finished the apprenticeship as patent paralegal. Since then, I have been translating in a patent attorney's firm for patent attorneys as well as attorneys-at-law and became a specialist for legal terminology from the German and European Patent Offices via the different instances up to the Federal Court of Justice. Since I have been translating not only in the patent field but also in litigation proceedings, I am very familiar with proceedings and court decisions of all kind. Having been a freelance translator for several years now, I also specialized in the financial sector and regularly translate various documents relating to mergers and acquisitions or, e.g., financial reports and balances. Companies also contact me with respect to the translation of agreements or articles of association. I am a member of the "Bund für Dolmetscher und Übersetzer" (BDÜ) and certified pro member at proz.com.
