English to Malay: Cash-on-Call FAQ General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Finance (general)
Source text - English 1. What is AFFIN Cash-on-Call (CIP)?
CIP is a cash facility for AFFINBANK Credit Card where the Malaysian principal credit cardmembers can request for cash up to 90% from their credit card limit, or up to the available credit limit whichever is lower. The approved CIP fund will be disbursed to cardmember’s Current/Savings account (CASA) with AFFINBANK or other Malaysian registered banks that has Interbank GIRO facility. The CASA must be in cardmember’s sole name and no joint account or transfer to third party is allowed. Repayment will be in monthly instalments over a tenure selected by the cardmembers. Once CIP amount has been disbursed, a corresponding amount of the cardmember’s available credit limit in the AFFINBANK card account will be debited and thus reduced equivalent to the approved CIP amount. The credit limit will be progressively restored and made available for the cardmembers as each monthly instalment is paid and received by AFFINBANK. The approved CIP amount will form part of the total credit limit for all your credit card account(s), including your supplementary credit card account(s). It is NOT a separate or additional line of credit on top of your existing credit card limit.
2. What are the tenures and the interest rates chargeable?

Document required:- Copy of Current/Savings account statement or passbook (non-AFFINBANK accounts)
4. How much is the monthly instalment?
Monthly instalment amount is computed based on the approved CIP amount as in the following example: Scenario Tenure (month) Instalment amount CIP amount :RM3,000 Tenure :6 months One-time up-front interest:6% One time upfront Interest RM3,000 x 6% = RM180 Monthly Instalment RM3,000 / 6 months = RM500 1st month instalment amount RM680 Subsequent monthly instalment amount (from 2nd month up to 6th month) RM500 Note : A one-time upfront interest will be charged on the first month instalment.
