●●Think you may have allergies to insulin aspart or any of the ingredients listed in the “Ingredients” section of NovoRapid®Consumer Medicine Information, or the pack insert that comes with
your insulin
●●Have any allergies to any other medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes
Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you experience signs of heart failure such as unusual shortness of breath or rapid increase in weight or localised swelling (oedema). Some patients with
long-standing type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart disease or previous stroke who are treated with thiazolidinediones in combination with insulin may develop heart failure.
THINGS YOU MUST NOT DO
Do not give NovoRapid® to anyone else, even
if they have the same condition as you.
Do not use NovoRapid® to treat any other
complaints unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not stop using NovoRapid® unless
your doctor tells you to.
TAKING OTHER MEDICATIONS
Your dose of insulin may need to change if you take other medicines. Tell your doctor if you are currently taking any medicines, especially the following:
●●oral hypoglycaemic agents – used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes
●●monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) – used for the treatment of depression
●●alpha-blocking agents – used for the treatment of high blood pressure and to relieve difficulty in passing urine caused by an enlarged prostate
●●non-selective beta-blocking agents – used for the treatment of certain heart conditions and high blood pressure
●●angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors – used for the treatment of certain heart conditions, high blood pressure or elevated protein/albumin in the urine
●●salicylates e.g. aspirin – used to relieve pain and lower fever
●●anabolic steroids – used to promote growth
●●glucocorticoids (except when applied locally) – used to treat inflammatory conditions
●●oral contraceptives (“the pill”) – used for birth control
●●thiazides, frusemide or ethacrynic acid – used for the treatment of high blood pressure or fluid retention (oedema)
●●thyroid hormones – used for the treatment of malfunction of the thyroid gland
●●sympathomimetics– used for the treatment of asthma
●●sulphonamides – used to treat bacterial infections
Or other specific medicines including:
●●danazol– used to treat certain female conditions
●●oxymetholone– used to treat certain blood
disorders
●●octreotide– used to treat gastrointestinal endocrine tumours
●●lanreotide– used to treat enlargement of parts of the body (e.g. hands, feet, head) caused by abnormal growth hormone levels
●●diazoxide– used for the treatment of high blood pressure
●●nicotinic acid – used for the treatment of high cholesterol levels in the blood
●●asparaginase– used to treat leukaemia and lymph gland tumours
●●quinine – used for the prevention of malaria and the relief of muscle cramps
●●quinidine – used for the control of heart problems
●●growth hormone – used to treat persons with growth hormone deficiency
Also tell your doctor if you are taking anyother medicines, including any that you buywithout a prescription from your pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
SIDE EFFECTS
All medicines can have side effects. Sometimes
they are serious, most of the time they are not.
Tell your doctor, diabetes educator or pharmacist
as soon as possible if you notice any side effects or
do not feel well while you are using NovoRapid®.
While you are using NovoRapid®some side effects
may include:
●●Hypoglycaemia. NovoRapid®maycausehypoglycaemia (see page 5)
●●Swollen hands and feet
●●Visual problems
●●If you inject too often in the same site, this may
result in skin changes (called lipodystrophy). Avoid
this by changing your injection site regularly as
shown to you by your doctor or diabetes educator
●●Local Allergy. Redness, swelling and itching
at the site of injection These symptoms
usually disappear within a few weeks during
continued use
●●General Allergic Reaction. If local allergy
symptoms do not disappear, spread to other
parts of your body, or if you suddenly feel sick
(i.e. sweating, vomiting, breathing difficulties,
rapid heart beat, feeling dizzy) you should
consult your doctor immediately or go to the
Emergency Department at your nearest hospital
●●Tell your doctor, diabetes educator or pharmacist
as soon as possible if you notice any side effects
or do not feel well using NovoRapid®

STORAGE
Storage
NovoRapid® that is not being used
should be stored between 2°C and 8°C
in a refrigerator not in or too near
the freezer section or cooling element.
●●NovoRapid®must not be frozen or exposedto heat or direct sunlight.
●●NovoRapid®that you are using or carrying as
a spare, should not be kept in the refrigerator.
You can use it up to 4 weeks below 30ºC after
taking it out of the refrigerator.
●●Discard your NovoRapid®FlexPen®,
NovoRapid®Penfill®orNovoRapid®vial after 4 weeks, even
if there is still some NovoRapid®left in it

• عوامل احصار البيتا اللاانتقائية non-selective beta-blocking agents: المستخدم لعلاج بعض حالات القلب وارتفاع ضغط الدم
• مثبطات الإِنْزيمُ المُحَوِّلُ للأَنْجِيوتَنْسين angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors: المستخدم لعلاج بعض حالات القلب وارتفاع ضغط الدم أو مستوى البروتين/الزلال في البول
• salicylates ساليسيلات مثل الأسبرين aspirin: المستخدم لتخفيف الآلام وتخفيض درجة الحرارة
• الستيرويد الابْتِنائِيّ anabolic steroid : المستخدم لتعزيز النمو
• glucocorticoids قِشْرانِيٌّ سُكَّرِيّ: (باستثناء النوع الموضعي): المستخدم لعلاج حالات الالتهابات
• oral contraceptives: المستخدمة لمنع الحمل
• thiazides، frusemide، أو ethacrynic acid: المستخدم لعلاج ارتفاع ضغط الدم أو احتباس السوائل (الوذمة)
• thyroid hormones: الهرمونات المستخدمة لعلاج اضطراب الغدة الدرقية
• sympathomimetics: المستخدم لعلاج الربو
• sulphonamides: المستخدم لعلاج الإصابات البكتيرية

أخبر طبيبك أيضًا في حالة تناولك لأية عقاقير أخرى والتي تتضمن العقاقير التي اشتريتها دون استشارة طبية من الصيدلية أو السوبر ماركت أو متجر الطعام الصحي.
الأعراض الجانبية
جميع العقاقير لها أعراض جانبية، أحيانًا تكون خطيرة وفي أغلب الأحيان تكون بسيطة. أخبر طبيبك أو مرشد مرض السكري أو الصيدلي بأقصى سرعة إلى لاحظت أية أعراض جانبية أو إذا كنت لا تشعر أنك على ما يرام أثناء تناولك لعقار NovoRapid®.
قد تتضمن الأعراض الجانبية الناتجة عن تناولك لعقار NovoRapid® ما يلي:
• نقص سكر الدم: قد يسبب NovoRapid® نقص السكر في الدم (انظر الصفحة 5)
• تعرّق اليدين والقدمين
• مشكلات في الرؤية
• قد يظهر تغير في البشرة إذا كنت تكرر أخذ الحقن في الموضع ذاته (يسمى الحثل الشحمي lipodystrophy). يمكنك تجنب ذلك بتغيير موضع الحقن بانتظام كما يوضح لك الطبيب أو مرشد مرض السكري
• حساسية موضعية، احمرار، تعرّق، حكة في موضع الحقن، وعادة ما تختفي هذه الأعراض خلال أسابيع من الاستخدام المستمر
• رد فعل متحسس بشكل عام: إذا لم تختفي أعراض الحساسية الموضعية وانتشرت في أجزاء أخرى من الجسم أو إذا شعرت فجأة بالتعب (مثل التعرق أو القئ أو الدوار) فعليك استشارة الطبيب فورًا أو الذهاب إلى قسم الطوارئ في أقرب مستشفى
• أخبر طبيبك أو مرشد مرض السكري أو الصيدلي بأقصى سرعة إذا لاحظت أي من الأعراض الجانبية أو إذا شعرت أنك لست على ما يرام باستخدام NovoRapid®

التخزين
التخزين
يخزن عقار NovoRapid® غير المستخدم في درجة حرارة 2-8 درجات مئوية في المبرد بحيث يكون ليس شديد القرب أو البعد عن موقع الفريزر.
• لا تقوم بتجميد NovoRapid® ولا تعرضه للحرارة أو لضوء الشمس المباشرين.
• لا يحفظ عقارNovoRapid® الذي تتناوله أو تحمله احتياطياً في المبرد. يمكنك حفظ العقار لمدة تصل إلى 4 أسابيع في درجة حرارة أقل من 30 درجة مئوية بعد إخراجه من الثلاجة.
• تخلص من قلم NovoRapid®FlexPen®، NovoRapid®Penfill® أو زجاجة NovoRapid® بعد 4 أسابيع حتى وإن تبقى فيها بعضًا من العقار
