Translator, poet and playwright in local language (Cebuano and Filipino) cultural program
coordinator, theatre educator and practitioner, resident production designer of the resident
theatre company of MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, the IPAG. His being active in the
Arts and letters, Cultural Performances and Researches got him a ticket to travel across Asia,
Europe, and North America attending festivals, fora, and conferences. He was the Project
Coordinator of the Erasmus’ Media Literacy project for Europe and Southeast Asia from
2012 to 2016.
He sits in as one of the experts for NCCA and TESDA Curricula for Lights and Sounds and
Production Design Courses; receives fellowships from various institutions from the Cultural
Center of the Philippines for his skills in the Production Design and Technical Theatre
Management
His creative writing skill earned him a fellowships at the Iligan National Writers Workshop
(INWW) for his works in Cebuano Poetry; SulatDula Playwriting Workshop in Xavier
University; and the University of San Carlos’ Faigao Writing Fellowship. Some of his balak
were anthologised in Dagmay, Mindanao Harvest 4 and the proceedings of INWW. His one-
act play Walay Sukod ang Balos was premiered at the MSU-IIT Minitheatre in 2017.
At present, he is the Project Coordinator on projects that is an initiative of the MSU-IIT
IPAG, Cultural Centre of the Philippines and National Commission for Culture and Arts.
He holds masters in Science Education major in General Science and now, finishing his MA
in Culture and Arts Studies with focus in Arts Administration while practicing his craft in
literature and the arts on the side teaching Humanities subjects.
