My name is Annemart, I am Dutch but I have lived several years both in Italy and Spain and I speak both languages fluently. Upon completing my Masters's degree in Translation Studies, specializing in Literary Translation, I started translating to combine both my love for writing in Dutch and for foreign languages, Italy and Spain.
During my Master's, I was awarded a Talent Scholarship for being the most talented literary translator IT-NL, which has helped me to publish several translations. I have been translating for literary magazines, doing marketing translations, such as websites and brochures but also texts on tourism, travel and enology, and even technical translations. Recently I have been specializing in SEO translation and advertising. I think I am quite versatile: I have translated, for example, both a libretto of an opera and a technical manual. I enjoy taking on new challenges, even though my passion is creative translation.
I am also a Dutch editor and copywriter: please see my publications for reference.
Besides translating and copywriting, I work as a Spanish and Italian teacher in the Netherlands. Working with both languages in a different way, reflecting on how those languages work, is quite helpful when it comes to translating.
I am always in for new collaborations and I hope I can help you with your project.
