In PCI, the emergence of drug-eluting stents decreased the restenosis rate to about 5%. However, drug-eluting stents are known to have a risk of causing late/very late stent thrombosis. To avoid this, long-term dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and a thienopyridine drug is required. Long-term dual antiplatelet therapy may cause an issue such as hemorrhagic complications. In addition, in-stent restenosis and lesions that are unsuitable for stent placement, such as small vessels, bifurcations, angulations, and moving parts, were issues for drug-eluting stents. Then, the possibility of drug delivery by a balloon catheter for lesions that are unsuitable for stent placement was focused on. Since a drug-eluting balloon is also called drug coated balloon, it can be abbreviated DCB.

What is cholesterol?

Measuring cholesterol

Vergleiche verschiedener Clippingsysteme existieren bisher nur in Form von experimentellen Studien, da vergleichende Studienbedingungen im klinischen Einsatz nur eingeschränkt herstellbar sind.
DISKUSSION
Die niedrigere Clipzahl war vor allem durch die Möglichkeit
der Korrektur beim Platzierungsvorgang durch die Funktionsfähigkeit wie bei einer Zange bedingt. Ein weiterer Grund war die Möglichkeit des tieferen Raffens der Gewebsanteile der Läsionen. Aufgrund der Branchenlänge (10 mm vs. 8 bzw. 6 mm) ließen sich mit dem Resolutionclip allerdings anatomisch schlecht zugängliche Läsionen wie z.B. unmittelbar postpylorische oder postbulbäre Duodenalgefäßstümpfe schlichter fassen. Dasselbe gilt für den Triclip (12 mm). Die Bedienbarkeit für die Assistenz war bei den Einmalclipsystemen deutlich komfortabler und schneller als bei den Mehrfachclipsystemen, bei denen Clips gelegentlich während des Applikationsvorganges fehlerhaft freigesetzt wurden.
