Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (UK), I studied German and Italian at Durham University before embarking on a career in corporate finance. After several years in London as a corporate finance and investment management analyst, I returned to my roots as a linguist to become a full-time freelance translator, and was awarded the Diploma in Translation by the Chartered Institute of Linguist in May 2013.
My prior experience within the financial sector provides me with a solid understanding of and familiarity with company and market documentation and the communication requirements of both the authors and readers of such documents.
I am also able to harness a lifelong fascination with sport to produce well-crafted sports translations, including match reports, press releases, marketing materials and statistical handbooks.
