19.4. No failure nor delay on the part of XXX in exercising any of its rights under this Agreement shall operate as a waiver of those rights, or impair or prevent further exercise of such rights.

equivalent yields were limited by prevailing low interest rates and flatter yield curves. The fall in income from interest-earning assets was driven by the bank repositioning its
lending portfolios towards lower yielding but higher quality secured assets. In Private Banking, the continuing low interest rate environment impacted customer deposit margins
resulting lower in net interest income. These reductions were offset, in part, by the increase in average mortgage balances in the UK and improved asset margins.

Der Abstand zu einem vorausfahrenden Fahrzeug muß in der Regel so groß sein, daß wir auch dann hinter ihm halten können, wenn es plötzlich gebremst wird.
Mehr Abstand halten wir
- bei Nebel, Schnee, Regen und Spritzwasser,
- bei Sichtbehinderung durch vorausfahrende Fahrzeuge,
- wenn die Scheibenwischer nicht sofort klare Sicht schaffen können,
- wenn wir bergab fahren.
Im Kolonnenverkehr glauben wir oft, langsamer zu fahren, als es tatsächlich der Fall ist. Daher achten wir hier besonders auf ausreichenden Abstand.
Durch die Scheiben der Vorausfahrenden oder durch leicht versetztes Fahren innerhalb des eigenen Fahrstreifens können wir die Kolonne beobachten.
Kraftfahrzeuge, für die eine besondere Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkung gilt sowie Züge, die länger als 7 m sind, müssen außerhalb geschlossener Ortschaften ständig so großen Abstand halten, daß ein überholendes Kraftfahrzeug einscheren kann.
Das gilt nicht
- wenn sie zum Überholen ausscheren und dies angekündigt haben,
- wenn in der Fahrtrichtung mehr als ein Fahrstreifen vorhanden ist,
- auf Strecken, auf denen das Überholen verboten ist.
Lastkraftwagen mit einem zulässigen Gesamtgewicht über 2,8 t müssen auf Autobahnen, wenn ihre Geschwindigkeit mehr als 50 km/h beträgt, von vorausfahrenden Fahrzeugen einen Mindestastand von 50 m einhalten.
Nicht nur der Abstand nach vorn, auch der richtige Seitenabstand gibt Sicherheit.
Wir halten einen Mindestabstand von
- 1 m seitlich zu Fahrzeugen
- 1,5 m Zweiradfahrern und zu Fußgängern.
Wir halten auch ausreichend Seitenabstand zu landwirtschaftlichen Zugmaschinen mit Anbaugeräten, weil diese beim Abbiegen ausschwenken.
Je höher ist die Geschwindigkeit, umso mehr die Seitenabstand sein soll.
Auch von gepackten Fahrzeugen halten wir ausreichenden Seitenabstand, denn:
- Türen können unachtsam geöffnet werden,
- Fußgänger können zwischen parkenden oder haltenden Fahrzeugen auf die Fahrbahn treten.
Für den Abstand nach hinten ist in erster Linie der hinter uns Fahrende verantwortlich. Aber auch wir können Risiken vermeiden, indem wir
- Nachfolgende beachten
- aggressiv drängelnde Fahrer vorbeilassen.
Zu dichtes Auffahren mit Hupe und Licht gilt als Nötigung!

Дистанция до впереди идущего транспортного средства как правило должна быть настолько большой, чтобы мы смогли остановиться позади него даже в том случае, когда оно внезапно [и резко] затормозит.
Большую дистанцию мы соблюдаем
- в тумане, [а также] во время снега, дождя и мороси,
- при ограничении видимости впереди идущим транспортным средством,
- в случае когда стеклоочиститель не может создать хорошей видимости сразу,
- когда мы едем по уклону вниз.
При движении в колонне нам часто кажется, что мы едем медленней, чем это есть на самом деле. Поэтому, в этом случае, нам следует уделять особое внимание соблюдению достаточной дистанции.
Мы можем наблюдать колонну через окна впереди идущего транспортного средства или же слегка смещаясь в рамках своей полосы движения.
Автотранспортные средства, для которых действуют специальные ограничения скорости, а также [автотранспортные] поезда, длина которых превышает 7 м, вне населённых пунктов должны соблюдать настолько большую дистанцию, чтобы любое обгоняющее их автотранспортное средство могло бы успешно завершить обгон.
Это правило, однако, не действует
- в случае когда это [автотранспортное средство] выехало для совершения обгона и просигнализировало об этом,
- в случае если в данном направлении имеется более одной полосы движения,
- на участках дороги, на которых обгон запрещён.
На скоростных автомагистралях, грузовые автомобили с допустимой общей масой более 2,8 т при скорости более 50 км/ч должны соблюдать дистанцию с впереди идущим транспортным средством не менее 50 м.

Мы также соблюдаем достаточную боковую дистанцию к спецтехнике сельскохозяйственного назначения с навесным оборудованием, так как это оборудование может отклоняться при поворотах.
Чем больше скорость, тем большей должна быть боковая дистанция.
Мы держим достаточную боковую дистанцию и к припаркованным транспортным средствам, поскольку
- двери в них [кем-то], по неосторожности, могут быть [внезапно] открыты,
- пешеход может [внезапно] выйти на проезжую часть [пройдя] между припаркованными или же остановившимися транспортными средствами.
За дистанцию позади нас отвечает прежде всего тот, кто едет за нами. Но также и [в этом случае] мы можем уменьшить риски тем, что
- будем обращать своё внимание на едущего за нами,
- пропустим агрессивно напирающего водителя.
Слишком близкое приближение [идущего сзади автотранспортного средства], подающего звуковые и световые сигналы, означает требование [уступить ему дорогу]!

I graduated with honours from the Physical Department of Taras Shevchenko Kiev State University and made PhD in Mathematical Physics. Afterwards, I worked as a scientific researcher in one of the research institutes in Kiev and had a two-year research stay in Germany (as an Alexander-von-Humboldt fellow), where I have also mastered my German.
I have 40 scientific publications, most of which is written in English. My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian and I have more than 20 years of experience in translation from English and German into Russian and Ukrainian. For some time, I also worked as a translator for a mathematical journal, translating papers from Russian and Ukrainian into English. Currently, I am also serving on the editorial board of an international scientific journal.
I also like programming. During my life I have programmed in Python, C, Julia, Octave, Fortran, Ruby, Standard ML, Racket, R, Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript and currently continue to do it in Python and Julia programming languages.
