Source text - English The ideal radiator is one which (a) vibrates in phase over its whole surface, (b) has a mass comparable to the air load, and (c) has only resonances which are outside the working frequency band. In order to meet these requirements, the radiator must be subject to a mechanical force equal in amplitude and phase over the whole of its surface. There are only two commercial systems which meet this requirement, viz. the constant-charge electrostatic and the ribbon electromagnetic loudspeakers.

Translation - English A second phase of the work will be the development of meshless numerical methods to solve the problem of modelling the electric potential distribution through the ground near a discharging grounding. The use of this type of algorithms has increased in the last few years, specially in the cases of complex geometries where BEM and FEM are very expensive. Thus complex model solution would be possible, and a tool to contrast the above mentioned methods would be at hand.

In 1985 I graduated from the National University of La Plata-Argentina as a Certified Public Translator. My experience thereafter relates to technical and scientific translations.
My area of expertise covers the metallurgical industry, mostly aluminium alloys and the various processes and tools involved in the manufacture of aluminium derivatives. In this field I translated technical manuals and several articles on aluminium extrusion and rolling, among other translations.
In electronics and electroacoustics my expertise also covers the manufacture and performance of professional audio systems: amplifiers, crossovers, speakers, drivers, tweeters, filters, and the software used to measure them.
The papers on Physics I translated or checked from Spanish into English were published in the Journal of Physics and in the Physical Review.
The scientific papers covering mathematical and geophysical subjects, also from Spanish into English, were published in the Journal of Applied Geophysics, in the International Journal of Numerical Methods in Engineering, in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, and in Finite Element Methods in Analysis and Design.
