Relevant work experience and specialisation
I have been working in translation and localisation since 2010. As law has always intrigued me, I have specialised in legal texts. I completed the Legal Translation in Criminal Cases course offered by the Association of SIGV Court Interpreters and Legal Translators. As I wished to further specialise in other legal fields, I also completed the Dutch-English / English-Dutch Legal Translation course offered by Chris Odijk. I am currently taking the University Bachelor programme Dutch Law at the Open University.
I mainly work for law firms, civil-law notaries' firms, government agencies and businesses. I have extensive experience in translating contracts, judgments, terms and conditions, deeds and articles of association. Apart from these document types, I have translated a variety of other types of texts, including dissertations, manuals, speeches and press statements.
I am also a sworn translator registered in the Dutch Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (no 4943).
