Hi there!
I'm Marwa, i know it might seem inappropriate to talk about myself, yet landing a good job necessitates some proof that "i do deserve to get that job!" . I have graduated from the faculty of Arts, English section, major in literature. Since my graduation, and even some time before that, i have been developing a friendly relationship with English and Arabic various texts and documents, so as to find my way to the most accurate, proper and error-free translations, that would attract it's reader as if the target language, whether English or Arabic is the source one!
"Talented" was the most common words i used to hear whenever i translate any document ever since the begining of my professional career as a translator..of course i was lucky enough to work with the most professional translators in Egypt for around 4 years, and though the salary wasn't that brilliant, yet the experience i got was beyond any materialistic needs that i could have sought then!
After four years of being surrounded by the top notch translators, i had a tempting offer to land a job at a Canadian agency located in Ottwa, that was funding an Egyptian partner represented in EEAA, or the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency. Surprisngly, my start was as an Admin Assistant to help with the inauguration of the project, yet having the chance to translate inauguration speeches, presentations, corresspondences...etc paved the way for a more higher post that was offered to me again from within the same agency. I passed the requested test and was choosen by the committee to hold the project Program Assistant post which was a senior one. The post involved translating every single document related to the project in my language pairs (English and Arabic), including project MOU's, contracts, proposals, speeches, reports, assessments, workshops materials, plu plu..
I have carved a niche for myself in this post for more than five years, with my contract being renewed on yearly basis after a full assessment of my work progress and my deliverables by my supervisors. I had many contributions in the great outcomes that were achieved by the project, some of which are translating all projects manuals and guides, that i have copies of to be furnished upon request.
They used to call me "speedy lady"! as i have the talent to finalize whatever work that i get assigned to in a professional, accurate, effecient way and never to exceed the due date of work delivery, without paying attention to work hours, weekends or whatever which really gave me a significant credit.
To wrappe it up, i pledge delivering my clients' work in a professional way, never to surpass work due date and always be open to comments or whatever modifications that could take place. Thanks in advance for choosing me!! MARWA |
