I am a translator and proofreader (EN-ES) currently living in Ireland. I have over 5 years' experience in translation, in-house as well as freelance. I am a native Castilian Spanish speaker and I studied Translation and Interpreting at the University Pablo de Olavide (Seville), plus one Erasmus year at the University of Salford (UK). I am passionate about translation, localization, and the audiovisual and literary side of our profession in particular, although I've enjoyed most of the translation work I've done (there is always something to learn and challenges to take on!). In 2010 I won the Francisco Ayala literary translation prize for the translation into Spanish of three poems by Cisson, Fanthorpe and Logue. It is my aim to expand my knowledge in a number of subjects (translation-related and not) so as to better myself and perhaps explore different paths in my career and my life.
