Testing is a very important step in any localization project, so knowing what to report and how to do it is very important to ensure quality in any localization project.

Target audience
Anyone with experience in translation and with interest in video games. Prior experience in localization may be useful, but it’s not a prerequisite for attending these training sessions. There will some translation examples from English into Spanish, but they will be described in a way that serve for all languages.

Bio: Pablo Muñoz Sánchez (http://www.pmstrad.com) es traductor autónomo del inglés al español y se especializa en localización de videojuegos, software y páginas web. Como principal experiencia profesional, ha trabajado durante dos años en Nintendo of Europe (Frankfurt, Alemania) traduciendo varios títulos destacados para Wii y Nintendo DS, entre los que se incluyen videojuegos de las series Metroid y Donkey Kong. Ha sido profesor de un módulo dedicado a la localización de software y videojuegos en el Máster en Traducción y Nuevas Tecnologías (http://www.mastradumatica.com/) de la Universidad Internacional Menéndez y Pelayo de Sevilla y en los dos últimos años ha dado varias conferencias sobre localización de videojuegos. Asimismo, ha publicado números artículos dedicados a la localización y a la informática aplicada a la traducción en varias revistas especializadas como JoSTrans (http://www.jostrans.org/) y Tradumàtica (http://www.fti.uab.es/tradumatica/revista/).
