Internet Search Strategies for Pharmaceutical Translators

This webinar will help medical/pharmaceutical translators find the information they need for successful translations. Rather than just focusing on how to craft a search, this webinar will present strategies on how to find specific information for life sciences projects. The strategies presented can be used with any language pair. The techniques to be presented include finding foreign language acronyms, using PubMed as a terminology tool, how to use a clinical trials registry for your translations, and locating parallel texts. Participants will receive a pdf version of the PowerPoint presentation along with the list of examples used during the presentation, as well as a handout with additional resources.

Recommendations

• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
