Dificultad para entrar en los sitios de Eurodicautom y base de datos IATE Thread poster: alexandria2024

Desde el pasado viernes no puedo entrar en ninguna de estas páginas de la base de datos terminológica de la UE. Me salen problemas con el Proxy, sea con Firefox o con Explorer. Álguien ha podido acceder a ellas últimamente? Algún truco?

A veces, me resultan las consultas en IATE si me cambio al I-Explorer, pero al rato se queda colgado el sitio y sólo puedo ver la página de inicio, cosa que es imposible al navegar con FireFox.
Bueno, ni hablar de la molestia que significa cambiarse a I-Explorer, aunque sea sólo un instante, cuando uno está totalmente acostumbrada a FireFox.
Por otro lado, parece que el antiguo Eurodicautom fue descontinuado definitivamente. Cuando comenzaron las dificultades de IAT... ¡Hola!
Si, yo desde hace unos dias tampoco tengo acceso al Eurodicautom.
Sin embargo, ayer pude acceder a IATE sin problemas (¿Quizás porque al ser festivo no había mucha gente traduciendo?)
Bueno, esperemos que esto sólo sea un problema pasajero...

Al final creo que el problema se produce por el tipo de navegadores y su nivel de actualización. Me he instalado el SeaMonkey (nueva versión de Mozilla) y se acabaron los problemas, al menos con el IATE. Igual también os funciona a vosotros.

couple of days. These problems appeared after an update of the IATE
servers during Easter weekend.
The typical error message users receive after launching a query looks like
this:
"The proxy was unable to fulfill your request because the computer does
not appear to be functioning properly. While attempting to communicate with
the server, t... See more Dear IATE user,
Unfortunately the IATE site has encountered a few problems in the last
couple of days. These problems appeared after an update of the IATE
servers during Easter weekend.
The typical error message users receive after launching a query looks like
this:
"The proxy was unable to fulfill your request because the computer does
not appear to be functioning properly. While attempting to communicate with
the server, the proxy encountered the following error: HTTP7766: error
reading response header (Connection reset by peer) .........."
Our technical staff detected that the problem is linked to a wrong encoding
of cookies on the IATE user's computers that occurs namely with Internet
Explorer. An immediate workaround is to remove these cookies.
How to remove the cookies from Internet Explorer ?
In the menu, go to "Tools", then "Internet Options", and in the first tab
"General", click on "Delete cookies".
Then close and re-open Internet Explorer. Then, reconnect to IATE.
This procedure can be repeated again later if needed.
In the meantime, our staff continues to work on a definitive solution to
avoid this problem in the future.
We apologize for all the inconveniences caused by this problem.

Thanks a lot Nick, I tried your suggestions for FireFox and they worked. I can now access IATE!

Como remover los cookies de Internet Explorer:
Abrir, en la orden, "Herramientas", "Opciones de Internet, y "General". Hacer clic en "Borrar cookies".
Cerrar la ventana y volver a abrir Iinternet Explorer y entrar en IATE.
Se puede repetir ese procedimiento siempre que necesario. O hasta que corrijan el problema.

I believe it is not advisable to remove all your cookies. Many of them are absolutely necessary for connecting to sites, such as ProZ.com.
