I've noticed no big difference based on the day of the week, let's say that I get most of my requests on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Friday is almost always very quiet (contrary to what I hear quite often some of my fellow Prozians say I usually don’t receive translation inquiries for work on a Friday). In over 40 years I can’t remember ever receiving a translation request on a Sunday, and I’ve received no more than a handful on a Saturday…

Friday (always with the words "have a nice weekend!")
Thursday ("see? I got it to you before Friday!")
Monday (some poor client had to work over the weekend)
Tuesday (looks like someone should have but didn't work this weekend)
Wednesday ("could you deliver by the end of the week?")
Saturday ("you can still do it for Monday evening, I hope? It's only a page or two...")
Sunday ("so sorry to bother you on a Sund... See more

"Conosco i miei polli", literally "I know my chickens", is how the Italians say something like "I know what I'm dealing with". I this, case, I know my clients. ▲ Collapse

It could be any day but....

....probably never on Monday mornings because everyone in Italy is just getting back to work.
Most annoying time: end of the day on Friday.

Any day really

I am still failing to see any patterns, except for slow Monday mornings and USUALLY slow Friday afternoons.
Also, I think I could count the number of requests I have ever received on weekends on one hand, and I usually don't reply to those before Monday morning anyway.
