Following the link for the Freelancer site I see two identical upgrades for SDL Trados Studio 2014 Plus, one costs €145 and the other €305. What's the difference between these two upgrades and why the price difference.
Also the upgrade price for Freelancer and Freelancer Plus is the same. Is this correct?
Regards

Hi Ben,
Regarding the two identical upgrades, the €305.00 upgrade includes an extra activation to allow you to work on 2 PCs simultaneously.
The upgrade price for Freelance and Freelance Plus is correct, as you will either be directly upgrading from SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance to SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance or upgrading from SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance Plus to SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance Plus.

So, if you have Studio 2011, you can't upgrade to 2015? There is no way I'm paying another $800.00 !
SDL_Dan United Kingdom Local time: 23:18 TOPIC STARTER SDL Trados Studio 2015 upgrades | Apr 20, 2015 |
Hi Jeff,
Yes, you can upgrade your 2011 licence to 2014 now for $275 and then receive SDL Trados Studio 2015 free of charge upon release.
This would be a better value option than waiting to upgrade to Studio 2015 direct after release.
I hope that helps.
Regards,

Studio 2015 is coming.... | Apr 20, 2015 |
.... but you are still offering your old product 2014 on your site, which (by the way) I just upgraded. So, in short, I bought an "old, obsolete product". Nice!
What is your offer here for people like me, or is it only the money that counts?

Furthermore.... | Apr 20, 2015 |
...is 2015 a new program, or just an upgrade, like 2009 - 2011 - 2014?
[Edited at 2015-04-20 20:03 GMT]
I am curious.

That seems very unfair to everyone who has upgraded to 2014 already.... I think SDL should have another look at the price differences between:
2011 -> 2014 (and free upgrade to 2015)
vs
2014 -> 2015 | |

It may seem unfair, but the problem is that it is very common in the IT branch to give special deals to those who purchase their products fairly shortly before an upgrade. So SDL isn't alone there.
