Source text - English That the use of compassionate medications is necessary in clinical situations that compromise life ( examples: Cancer, A.I.D.S.) or diseases that evolve towards disability. ( example: Dementia ) or in clinical situations that incapacitate or deteriorate the quality of life. ( examples: Pain, Epilepsy. etc.) when conventional therapy is not effective.
That in situations where there exist the absence of an specific treatment, intolerance to all existing treatment, incompatibility with available drugs on patients that have been treated abroad ( outpatients ), the ones that could be harmed by the change of an authorized medication in our country, in which the use of compassionate medications will be necessary.
Translation - Spanish Que el uso compasivo de medicamentos es necesario en situaciones clínicas que comprometen la vida (ejemplos cáncer, S.I.D.A.) o enfermedades que evolucionan hacia la invalidez (ejemplo demencia) o en situaciones clínicas que incapacitan o deterioran la calidad de vida (ejemplos dolor, epilepsia, etc.), cuando no es efectiva la terapéutica convencional.
Que en situaciones en donde existe la falta de tratamiento específico, intolerancia a todo tratamiento existente, incompatibilidad con drogas disponibles, en pacientes tratados en el exterior, los que podrían perjudicarse con el cambio de una medicación autorizada en nuestro país, se hace necesario el uso compasivo de medicamentos.
