Source text - English Men politicians are in the habit of talking to women as if there were no that affect women. "The fact is," they say, "the home is place for women. Their interest are the rearing and training of children. These are the things that interest women. Politics have nothing to do with these things, and therefore politics do not concern women". Yet the laws decide how women are to live in marriage, how their children to be trained and educated, and what the future of their children is to be. All that is decided by Act of Parliament. Let us take a few of laws, and see what there is to say about them from the women's point of view.
Translation - Malay Orang politik lelaki biasa bercakap kepada wanita seolah-olah tidak ada apa-apa yang memberi kesan kepada wanita. "Sebenarnya", mereka kata, "Rumah adalah tempat untuk wanita. Minat mereka adalah menjaga dan melatih budak-budak. Semua ini adalah yang diminati wanita. Politik tiada kena mengena dengan benda ini. Dengan itu, politik tidak membabitkan wanita". Padahal undang-undang menentukan bagaimana wanita perlu hidup dalam perkahwinan, bagaimana anak-anak mereka dilatih dan didik, dan apa masa depan yang anak-anak perlu menjadi. Semua itu ditentukan oleh Akta Parlimen. Mari ambil contoh beberapa undang-undang dan lihat komen dari sudut pandang wanita terhadapnya.

Source text - Malay Keperluan terhadap doktor mudah difahami masyarakat oleh sebab fungsi mereka jelas. Tujuannya jelas, iaitu merawat orang sakit. Terdapat insititusi perubatan untuk melatih para doktor, klinik, persatuan ahli perubatan dan perangkat tatacara penelitian dan perawatan. Hal yang sama dapat dikatakan bagi profesion yang lain. Pemahaman masyarakat tentang perlunya mereka itu disebabkan tujuan mereka dikenal pasti dengan jelas dan tatacara untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut ditunjuk dengan jelas dengan cara yang sama, serta hasilnya langsung dna jelas. Untuk menghayati keperluan dan fungsi profesion seperti itu tidak memerlukan kecanggihan. Sebaliknya, hasil kerja intelektual tidak langsung dan sering tidak dihargai pada zamannya. Misalnya, Ibnu Khaldun menulis sebuah karya besar pada abad ke-16, tetapi minat antarabangsa pada karya ini tidak berkembang hingga abad ke-20. Seumur hidupnya, Karl Marx tidak pernah menjangkakan bahawa karya beliau akan menjadi panduan kepada jutaan rakyat. Pada tahun 1848, orang tidak dapat mengetahui buku mana yang akan mengubah dunia. Translation - English The necessity for doctor is easily understandable by society for the definite of their function. Their behaviors are included in an activity group which are relatively easy to identify. The objective is clear, which is treating the patient. There are medical institution to train doctors, clinics, medical member society and procedure equipment for scan and treatment. The same case could be mentioned for other profession. Society's understanding on the need for them as their objective could be identified clearly, method to meet the objective is showed clearly by the equivalent way and the result is seen and clear. To relate the profession's need and function for it doesn't need sophistication. The intellectual work, in contrast, is unseen and always being unappreciated in the age. For example, Ibnu Khaldun wrote a great piece in the 16th century, but international's interest on this piece are not developed up to 20th century. For life, Karl Marx did not expecting his piece could be guide for million of people. In 1848, people did not know which book will change the world. In the meantime, for other party, many of intellectual work were forgotten and effect from the bereft is difficult to count, though we could say that the bereft is high.
