Source text - German Im öffentlichen Diskurs tritt Doping zumeist in Gestalt leistungssportlicher Skandale in Erscheinung. Hochleistungssportler greifen auf verbotene Praktiken und Substanzen zurück, um sich Wettbewerbsvorteile zu verschaffen oder um tatsächliche oder nur befürchtete Nachteile gegenüber ihren Konkurrenten aus der Welt zu schaffen. Im Rahmen der inzwischen in vielen Sportverbänden installierten Dopingkontrollen – sowohl während der Wettkämpfe als auch z. T. in den Trainingsphasen – werden schließlich einige von ihnen des Normbruchs überführt und für eine bestimmte Zeit via Sperre aus dem Wettkampfgeschehen verbannt. Anschließend berichten Journalisten über besagte Fälle, da sie sich hervorragend in das Ereignisschema der Massenmedien einfügen. Nähme man die Vielzahl der in Radio, Zeitungen und Fernsehen berichteten Dopingvergehen als Hauptindikator für eine punktgenau Verortung der dopingaffinen Sportszene, läge die Einschätzung nahe, Doping vornehmlich oder gar ausschließlich als ein Problem des wettkampforientierten Spitzensports aufzufassen. Diese auf der Anzahl der medial berichteten Dopingfälle beruhende Annahme wird jedoch der Komplexität und Diversität des tatsächlichen Dopingausmaßes nicht gerecht.
Auch in der Wissenschaft wird Doping überwiegend im Zusammenhang mit dem Hochleistungssport thematisiert. Im Schatten dieser Aufmerksamkeitsfokussierung geht der analytische Blick für andere Bereiche des Sports verloren. Die Dopingsituation des Breiten- und Freizeitsports bleibt folglich auch im „Analysegeschäft“ stark unterrepräsentiert. Da es zudem weder im Breiten- noch im Freizeitsport Dopingkontrollen gibt, ist die Intransparenz der Dopinggeschehnisse dort besonders ausgeprägt.

Translation - French Pour l’opinion publique, le dopage est un phénomène qui se manifeste la plupart du temps sous forme de scandales dans le domaine du sport de compétition. Les sportifs de haut niveau ont recours à des pratiques et substances illicites, pour bénéficier d’un avantage concurrentiel ou pour se prémunir, face à leurs concurrents, d’handicaps effectifs ou seulement redoutés. Dans le cadre des contrôles antidopage, aujourd’hui mis en place dans de nombreuses fédérations sportives – et ce, aussi bien pendant les compétitions que pendant certaines périodes d’entraînement –, certains sportifs sont condamnés pour violation de la norme antidopage et se voient suspendus de la compétition pour une durée déterminée. Bien souvent, ces cas de dopage sont ensuite relayés par la presse, car ils s’inscrivent parfaitement dans le schéma événementiel des médias de masse. Si l’on considère les nombreux délits de dopage relatés à la radio, dans les journaux et à la télévision, en tant qu’indicateur principal pour déterminer quelle est la scène sportive concernée par le dopage, on peut estimer qu’il s’agit surtout, voire exclusivement, d’un problème relatif aux compétitions du sport de haut niveau. Cependant ce postulat, qui repose seulement sur les cas de dopage rapportés par les médias, ne rend pas compte de l’ampleur réelle du phénomène, dans toute sa complexité et sa diversité.
La science, elle aussi, associe majoritairement le dopage avec le sport de haut niveau. Cette focalisation détourne l’attention des autres domaines du sport, qui restent oubliés de toute perspective analytique. La situation du dopage dans le sport de masse et de loisirs reste par conséquent très peu représentée dans cette « analyse ». En outre, puisqu’il n’y a pas de contrôle antidopage, ni dans les sports de masse, ni dans les sports de loisirs, le recours à cette pratique y est marqué d’un manque particulier de transparence.

Academic background and language skills:
After graduating in a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in France (2012), I moved to Germany and began
to work in 2013 as a freelance translator from German into French, as well as a
proofreader for texts in French.
I graduated
in a Master’s degree in French and Spanish philology in Berlin (2018) and wrote
my Master thesis in Spanish after a one-year academic exchange in Argentina (2016-2017).
Thanks to this experience, I also offer to translate texts from Spanish
into French.
During my Bachelor’s
degree, I studied English as a first foreign language which enable me to also
translate from English to French.
My professional career as a translator:
These last years,
I offered my services to several online shops in different areas, like pet care,
industrial design, advertising material, online voting, antiquities, catering, industrial
equipment, automotive parts and fashion. I work with texts like product
descriptions, press releases, advertisement, newsletter, articles and every
type of online content. I mostly worked with translations from German into
French and in some case, from English into French.
I work as a
freelancer for some agencies, as well as directly with customers/companies for specific
projects.
From 2018 to 2020, I collaborated
as linguist specialist with the Spanish and English > French online dictionary
WordReference.
