Source text - Italian Realizzazione di nuova batteria di filtri GAC, efficientamento filtri quarzo
L’impianto era dotato di n.10 filtri a carbone attivo. Questa sezione è stata ampliata attraverso la costruzione di un’ulteriore batteria di n. 5 filtri inserita in anello con le altre due esistenti. La realizzazione era necessaria per ridurre la richiesta di ossidante nell’acqua finale e per diminuire i sottoprodotti della disinfezione dovuti alle precedenti fasi del processo di trattamento.

Oggetto dell’attività è stato anche un completo revamping dei filtri a sabbia, con rifacimento della piastra filtrante e reintegro del quarzo mancante
Impianto di dosaggio di ipoclorito di sodio al 15% in finale impianto
La disinfezione finale dell’acqua era effettuata soltanto con biossido di cloro (ClO2), attraverso dosaggi che superavano il valore di 1 p.p.m. (mg/l).
E’ stato realizzato un sistema per l’utilizzo di una miscela di ossidanti formata in percentuale da:
- 75% di Biossido di Cloro (ClO2)
- 25% di Ipoclorito di Sodio (in soluzione al 15% - NaClO)
L’impianto provvede al dosaggio del biossido in maniera completamente automatica regolando tramite P.I.D. per l’inseguimento di una soglia impostabile. E’ stato creato un piano di manutenzione programmata e preventiva per garantire piena efficienza ai produttori di biossido. Inoltre è stato implementato un algoritmo di allarme che segnala quando il dosaggio di biossido di cloro arriva a 1 p.p.m.

dove:
Doxc è il dosaggio di ossidante complessivo nell’acqua finale
DClO2 è il dosaggio di Biossido di Cloro
DNaClO è il dosaggio di Ipoclorito di Sodio
Installazione di strumentazione per la verifica dell’ossidante presente nei serbatoi relativi al fondo rete.
Sono state installate apparecchiature per la misurazione dell’ossidante presente nell’acqua dei serbatoi localizzati nelle zone più distanti della rete di distribuzione. Tali strumenti sono stati collegati al sistema di telecontrollo e questo consente di gestire i dosaggi della miscela disinfettante in finale in maniera puntuale e veloce.
Translation - English New set of GAC filters, raising of efficiency for quartz filters
The plant was equipped with 10 active carbon filters. This section has been expanded through the construction of an additional set of 5 filters inserted in line with the other two existing ones. This change was necessary to reduce the demand for the oxidant in the final water and to decrease the disinfection byproducts created as a result of the preceding stages of the treatment process.

An objective of this activity was also a complete revamping of the sand filters with reconstruction of the filter plate and reinstatement of missing quartz.
Dosing system of sodium hypochlorite to 15% in the final plant
The final disinfection of the water was carried out only with chlorine dioxide (ClO 2), through doses that exceeded 1 ppm (mg / l).
A system was created for the use of a mixture of oxidants formed in percentage by:
- 75% of Chlorine Dioxide (ClO 2)
- 25% Sodium Hypochlorite (in solution at 15% - NaClO)
The system provides for the fully automatic dosage of the dioxide adjusted by P.I.D for the insertion of a set threshold. A plan was created for preventive and scheduled maintenance to ensure full efficiency for dioxide producers. An alarm algorithm has also been implemented when the dosage of chlorine dioxide reaches 1 ppm

DClO2 is the dosage of Chlorine Dioxide
DNaClO is the dosage of Sodium Hypochlorite
Installation of instrumentation for the verification of the presence of oxidizer in the tanks at the end of the network
Equipment has been installed for measuring the oxidizer present in the tanks located in the more distant areas of the distribution network. These instruments were connected to the remote control system and this allows you to manage the dosage of the disinfectant mix in a quick and timely manner.
