Does anyone know how to restore this function? Previously, all open individual documents would show up separately and I could switch fro one document open in a programme to another document in the same programme using the ALT-TAB.

Program-specific, not OS-specific problem

I do think that whether or not individual documents within an application appear as separate tasks in the task bar is not a Windows-specific setting but controlled by the applications themselves (as the Word setting mentioned by Jerzy shows). The problem is now solved for MSWORD so thanks Jerzy for that. But any idea what to do for DREAMWEAVER?

Only that it does work (programs and documents as well), if I press it fast enough. If not, the small window that pops up center-screen simply vanishes (can't usually get beyond the 4th icon) so I just keep it pressed and play roulette with my desktop. Alt+Esc works fine, though. This is really annoying, since I use it at least a dozen times per minute. Any ideas would be most welcome.
Thank you,
