but where would they be getting the qualified translators from, in such a small place in Louisiana? Sometimes it is hard to get qualified interpreters, especially of some rare languages, in such places as New York. I have personally never heard about any corruption like hat here, and I doubt that it exists-- it sounds rather improbable. I believe them, though. It may happen in some places which do not have a regulated system.

Court interpreting is a very complex profession, which requires top fluency in two languages, some practical public-speaking skills, plus thorough legal knowledge about two legal systems in two languages.
