What is the difference... Sep 2, 2004

I have been observing these offers of invitation for gmail. I am not keen to try this immediately but getting curious to know What Is New in the Google's gmail. Any feedback from those who got the "opportunity" to grab one such invitation? Should I regret that I missed to get one so far?

Note that it does not support message forwarding by POP3 and you will have to use its own interface.

I still have not tested it, but it does give you the capability to forward large files (music, video, presentations).

It is correct that GMail itself does not support POP3. However, there is a tool out there called PopGoesTheGMail that picks messages from GMail and transfers them to your local email client.
