Spanish term

cuna

{(family) genes} / {innate skills}

... succeeded in inheriting some of the family's amazing genes
...... ...family's innate skills

OR you could say she seems to be "following in the amazing family tradition...

none of these is a literal translation, but I think they could work here. Either way, the implication is that the skills are passed down through the family

Any one of them would work well. Thanks for the agree - teju :)
agree Richard Boulter : For the context, I like 'heritage' best, followed by 'pedigree'. Both are high-sounding, as I take 'cuna' to be. Alternatively, what about a down-shifting 'background'??
