Hi Ron Thanks for your comments. If it's any comfort to you; although at one time I had certain law enforcement experiences both in the military and later at a municipal level, the term was absolutely new to me and I only chose it based on the available links.

You're welcome David Your gratitude is much appreciated
Ron Hartong PhD (X) Aug 4, 2011:
Sorry David, I got carried away and suddenly called you Robert - no idea why.
Ron Hartong PhD (X) Aug 4, 2011:
Double work. Hi David (and Eski),
First of all, I think it will be difficult to clearly define the difference between 'Polymorphic drug target' and 'Drug Target Polymorphism' - it's semantics and in the end they mean the same thing.
Nevertheless 'Drug Target Polymorphism' gives 796 hits in Google, and 'Polymorphic drug target' gives only 5 hits.
I gave my agree to Eski though, because I found the English version of the text Robert is translating (see link below). In that text Eski's suggestion is used.
I guess (can't be sure though) that somebody 'plagiarized' the English text and translated it into (not realy correct) Spanish. Funnily, they later went to Robert to have it translated back into English again.

Here's the link:

Hope the link helps you with the rest of the text you are translating, although it may be a bit late for that.

Peer comment(s):

agree Ron Hartong PhD (X) : Polymorphic drug target would have been blanco polimórfico de la droga in Spanish; Nevertheless, I agree with you for reasons I'll try to explain in the discussion.

Drug Target Polymorphism

I am not a 100% sure, because I think in Spanish it would be more correct to say 'polimorfismo'; I guess that 'polimórfica' is meant as short for 'secuencia polimórfica'.
