Spanish term

cuotas iguales o desiguales

Spanish to English Other Law (general)
From the statutes of a foundation:

I don't understand what these 'cuotas' are adding to the the idea that the Foundations revenue shall be understood to be assigned and allocated to the realisation of its stated aims

equal or unequal proportions

What it means is that the foundation's funds must be used for the purposes for which it was constituted, but there is no obligation to divide them equally, or in any fixed proportion, among those purposes. Subject to any other provisions the foundation may devote as much or as little of its funds to each prescribed purpose as it may decide at any given moment.

The heading of the following similar provision clarifies what they're talking about:

And later:

In other words, if the foundation's constitution says that its funds must be used for A, B, C and D, there's no obligation to give 25% of its funds to each, nor indeed to adhere to any other proportion. The trustees can spend the whole lot on A, if they wish, or A one year and C and D the next, or whatever. What they can't do is spend the foundation's funds on anything other than A, B, C and D.

(the founders') equal or unequal contributions

(implied) ...de participación = shares of contribution and not 'share titles'.

... bienes y rentas > the assets and income bypass the founders' contributions, whether equal or unequal, and shall be deemed assigned and appropriated to the attainment of the foundational purpose, namely no one takes a proportionate rake-off inbetween.

Quaere: whether the statutes or bye-laws go on to provide for an unequal share-out on dissolution of the foundation cf. unincorporated associations in UK law.
