Spanish term

daños cubiertos o consiguientes

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
The document in question is a licensing agreement for video game software, and one paragraph specifies that the company that issues the software will not be liable for the following:

"daños indirectos, especiales, incidentales, dolosos, económicos, ***CUBIERTOS*** o consiguientes, derivados de la ineptitud al utilizar los productos o servicios de X".

I am not sure what is meant by "daños cubiertos" in this context.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

whether [explicitly] covered or not, resulting from

The phrase seems to refer to damages resulting from improper use, whether or not said damages are explicitly covered by the agreement in question (i.e., damages that would otherwise be reimbursed under the terms of the guarantee).

Suerte.

Damages covered or follow-on damages

Damages covered (by the terms of the licensing agreement) or follow-on, aditional damages consequent upon misuse of the goods or services in question.

neutral AllegroTrans : "follow-on damages" is not a term that conveys meaning

I beg to differ- they are damages which follow on from or are consequent upon some failure/negligence or other by the user/owner.
neutral philgoddard : I think the word you're looking for is "consequential".

No,that isn't what I was looking for at all, damages which follow on or are consequent upon some failure or other by the user/owner.
