Spanish term

supuesto que le hubiese sido anticipada

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s)
My last question of the week:

It's from an agreement between two companies for their intermediary efforts. INTERMEDIARY introduced SUPPLIER to CUSTOMER, so SUPPLIER will pay INTERMEDIARY a percentage of what it invoices to CUSTOMER.

(I hope you're appreciating this fab background on a Friday evening!)

It then continues:

"INTERMEDIARY perderá el derecho a dicha comisión -debiendo devolverla a la mayor brevedad a SUPPLIER supuesto que le hubiese sido anticipada- si CUSTOMER no pagase a su vencimiento el servicio o suministro ejecutado".

I think it means "in the event that/supposing it has been paid in advance" but I'm not sure.
Can anyone confirm please?

Como tu sugeriste "in the event" k era lo k iba a poner yo, no lo posteo como contestacion. Yo diria, "in the event that said commission had already been paid", o "had been advanced/paid in advance". Espero que te sea de utilidad. Saludos.

I don't mean to ask for the "whole* sentence (that would be cheeky!); just the phrase "supuesto que le hubiese sido anticipada".
I think that people are saying that I was basically right and that it means "where/in the event/supposing it has been paid in advance" and not something else like "where/in the event/supposing they are told in advance" or something
That's what I'm trying to find out please...
Sorry, if I have made this too complicated!

Hi everyone and thanks for your replies, but what I'm looking for is the whole phrase not just the "supuesto" part....

assuming

Sugerencia pues como lo entiendo es que la comision debera ser devuelta al supplier "suponiendo" que se le entrego.
Que tengas un excelente fin de semana!! :)

...or is it an "assumed" supplier?

..."assuming it was paid in advance"... is that it?

Ok! If you need the whole sentence.... in my humble opinion: "Intermedary will not be entitled to that commission and, assuming it was paid to the supplier, shall return it as soon as possible in the event the customer would have not paid the service or supply on the maturity date"

...sorry, "assuming it was paid in advance to the supplier"...
