Due diligence is a term used for a number of concepts involving either the performance of an investigation of a business or person, or the performance of an act with a certain standard of care. It can be a legal obligation, but the term will more commonly apply to voluntary investigations.

En este caso la palabra "diligencia " se esta utilizando con dos de sus acepciones , en el primer caso seria "diligence" en el sentido de cuidado , atencion y en el segundo (parrafo) en el sentido de escrito , muy particular de los procedimientos juridicos mediante el cual cualquiera de las partes expone o pide algo al Juez o a la autoridad que administra el proceso en su presencia, por eso coloco "paper" que es el termino mas generico,
