resistance zone/area

I assume you mean zona and not zoina

The Nasdaq (sixth chart) is right at the edge
of a heavy resistance zone; above 1387, the index could have room to run. To
the downside, 1300 and 1286 are important support.

The Nasdaq has moved nicely into the bottom of major resistance that runs from 1923 to 2328. The S&P is very close to piercing through the underside of a major resistance zone that starts at 1170 and extends to 1313. While it is difficult to predict how a market will deal with major resistance, the expectation continues to be a market that takes a two steps forward and one step backward. Examining many of the major technology stocks, most of them have moved with the Nasdaq into heavy resistance areas created by the sideways action this Summer. From this perspective, and despite Wednesday's impressive performance, a blowoff to the upside by the Nasdaq has a fairly slim chance. What may occur to some degree to the best acting stocks is a quick flow into the best performers by institutions between now and the end of the year in hopes of enhancing their performance for the year. We suspect many mutual funds are scrambling to surpass the markets' performance in 2001.

As I put in answer to your other question, area gets more hits in Google than zone in both cases

Gracias
agree Libero_Lang_Lab : absolutely! this is a term used in technical analysis (TA)... resistance and support levels/zones are those points/areas at which a rising or falling share price stops rising or falling on a regular basis

resistance zone

This is a stock market term, and here are some examples of its use:

Many times a bunch of highs or lows will be concentrated in a small price area, but not at one specific price. If that's the case, I will determine that area to be a support or resistance "zone." The one thing I will point out with determining support and resistance zones is that you don't want your zone to be so wide that it's virtually useless from a trading standpoint.

You're right, there is more frequency for that term.
