soil fumigation
Does anyone know what they are referring to here? This text also refers to laying VIF plastic for sealing the soil after applying fumigants.
TIA for any assistance.

tile-effect metal roofing sheet
Hi John,
I think your text may be referring to a corrugated metal sheet used in roofing and shaped to give the appearance of roofing tiles. I'm not sure if this is the correct answer, but it would seem to make sense in your context. If one of these sheets were dragged behind the machine it would shape and kind of pack down the soil surface?
Here is an example from Argentina, which seems to connect your terms to this type ofl product:

And here are some examples in English (note that I took my suggested term from a website from Finland or an eBay page from Canada (the first 2 links below -- this type of roofing doesn't seem to be common in the US, so I'm not sure if there is really a standard term there):

Yes, based on the discussion I think now that this could be referring to a more formal piece of equipment called a "ridge former" as seen in this link:
http://www.baselier.com/E/p08.php
The "chapa" is the metal plate which gives shape to the ridges, the extended size of the plate allows for higher speed, as seen on page 3 of the pdf in Spanish that will hopefully appear for you from this giant link, showing different kinds of "conformadora" and the "chapa Speed" option:

Comment: "I opted for "ridge former", thanks!"
