From a piece of dialogue from a performance type piece, the language is dramatic and somewhat surreal. I can't quite get the sense of what is being said here, any help, suggestions much appreciated!

impale/straighten the crookedest of beings
So.. the column-like sequoias are so straight that they would straighten something bent... Of course 'straighten' doesn't have the same impact as 'impale'. Corvo of course is curved, or bent, but neither works all that well as a superlative.

that impaled the curviest beings.
I think the literal translation fits well in your context.
