Answer Withdrawal It's been a long time...Did my suggestion come in handy or should I withdraw it?
Darius Saczuk Mar 7, 2016:
From an acoustic point of view, even allophones can be broken down further. Ladefoged's Elements of Acoustic Phonetics has lots of useful stuff and illustrations.
Darius Saczuk Mar 7, 2016:
In practice, phonemes are realized through ALLOPHONES (e.g. the aspirated "t" in "tea" versus the roll "t" in "water" in AmE. At this level, though, PHONEMES or INDIVIDUAL SOUNDS, as you suggest, Mike, will do.
Darius Saczuk Mar 6, 2016:
:-) You just write, "Students will be able to:
- use correct spelling and punctuation
- compose simple and complex sentences
- yada yada yada..."
LilBridge (asker) Mar 5, 2016:
well, I saw some tables like that and they didn't use "Students will be able to" in every verse ;) Doesn't matter, that is not the problem here :D
Thanks for the answer :)
Darius Saczuk Mar 5, 2016:
I don't think it makes a difference. Two sides of the same pond...;-). BTW, I provided an example from the UK, too.
LilBridge (asker) Mar 5, 2016:
sorry, UK :D
Darius Saczuk Mar 5, 2016:
