Norwegian term

teknikkens stand (in this context)

Norwegian to English Law/Patents Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright patent dispute
Det forelå på prioritetstiden heller ikke i teknikkens stand for øvrig incentiver til å forbedre de preparater som tillhørte tekknikkens stand slik som ved den foreliggende oppfinnelsen.
Does this simply mean something like "from the technological point of view" or is it more like the Danish equivalent (dare I say), state of the art? If the latter, I'll have to think how to write it.
Thanks in advance asap.

Of course it's "state of the art". ;-)
Peer comment(s):

neutral rajagopalan sampatkumar : I am not sure if "teknikkens stand" and "teknikkens stade" are the same. Only the latter means 'state of the art'.

I am not sure why you're referring to "stade". The reference link uses "stand"; it's from the Norwegian side of the Skagerrak. ;-)
agree Christopher Schröder : yep, a key patent concept
