Italian to English Art/Literary Religion capitalisation question

My question is whether I should capitalize all the nouns and verbs, after the manner of English style usage regarding book and article titles. The above title is that of a speech given at a conference of the Ordo Virginum (Order of Consecrated Virgins) in Italy. I'm translating a book, which lists in the first section all of these confereces (18 so far), and all of the speeches give at each conference. So there are a lot of these titles of speeches (usually followed by the name of the speaker in parentheses) in the text. What I'm been doing so far is to capitalize the speech, as is done with article and books titles, like this:

"The Historical Roots of the Christian Initiation and Its Meaning".

But I'm not 100% sure of this choice. Does anyone know about this? Moreover, when translating the title of a book or article, do you do the same (capitalize the nouns and verbs, as if it were an English book or article)?
