: Die Abkürzung F&B scheint sich im Deutschen tatsächlich durchzusetzen, einige Google Treffer auf deutschen Seiten über Gastronomie. - And *Büro* means *office*. - Later: Oh, I thought the asker had forgotten a comma between *B&F* and *Büro*, sorry.

Yes, I thought of office, but I think department works better in English.

Comment: "Thanks everyone. Sorry about the umlaut. As an F&B Magazin is mentioned later on, I guess it must mean "food & beverage". "

Finanz- und Buchhaltungsbüro
My guess would be that he spent some time in the accounting/bookkeeping office. That would make a lot more sense to me than to assume that the word office was used in place of department. Depending on the context and the education and the place in question (large hotel) I would think it very likely that there is some time spent n bookkeeping.
