spondylosis

I think what is meant here is spondylosis.
knöcherner Abstützreaktion is the same as spondylosis

Die Alterung der Wirbelsäule sieht man im Röntgenbild typischerweise in Form von Knochenreaktionen am Bewegungsegment (siehe Abb.2 ). Der Körper ist nämlich ziemlich klug, er mag keine Instabilität, wo sie nicht hingehört, und beginnt mit knöchernen Abstützreaktionen (sog. Spondylose Abb.3).

(bone) apposition

Apposition is bone growth in response to physical loading.

agree MMUlr : I prefer this sort of general term - so far, as we don't know yet about rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis? - Usually PIP joints are affected by RA, but the formation of bone ("spurs", osteophytes) is typical of osteoarthritis.
